I have so much to say about Jon and Katie’s beautiful November 25th winter wedding. As I walked into the hotel room of the Magnolia Hotel, Katie and her bridesmaids were trying to open a bottle of champagne with a “no mess” goal. Laughter and anticipation of spraying Champagne is a wonderful environment to start the wedding day. The preparation time before the wedding is what I consider to be some of the most important images that I will take. Emotions are at the highest when the couple has read letters to each other. This makes these family pictures so perfect. When Katie looks back at these with her mother and father she will remember the swirl of emotions and butterflies that she felt at that time. And how her mother and father that never cry, just cannot contain their tears.
I loved that Katie’s bridesmaids all had different colors and styled dresses. And don’t they look gorgeous!! The whole wedding party was so much fun considering the cold winter temps. We took photos at the Muny in Forest park. And in front of the beautiful evergreens behind the jewel box.
John and Katie’s reception was held at Neo on Locust and it was lit up with twinkle lights. This is especially important since sunset was at 4:40pm.
Thank you John and Katie for entrusting me with your most important day I am a lucky wedding photographer!!
